On 06 February 2025, Serhii Vladov, Head of the Scientific Activity Organization Department of Kremenchuk Flight College of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs, spoke at the scientific seminar of the Department of Information Systems and Networks of Lviv Polytechnic National University. The meeting was chaired by the Head of the Department of Information Systems and Networks of Lviv Polytechnic National University, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor Vasyl Lytvyn.
Serhii Vladov presented a scientific report on ‘Methods and means of monitoring helicopter gas turbine engines (GTE) based on neural network technologies during their operation’, in which he presented the architecture of the created expert system for monitoring and controlling the operation of gas turbine helicopters, which, by combining a neural network monitoring subsystem and an automated control subsystem (ACS), allows to increase the level of automation, efficiency and reliability of monitoring and controlling their technical condition in the mode of operation.
In addition, Serhii Vladov demonstrated the developed methods of classification, control, diagnostics, forecasting, debugging, and trend analysis of the technical condition of helicopter GTE based on modified learning algorithms and neural network architectures, which, unlike the existing ones, use hybrid combinations of adaptive elements to improve the accuracy of solving applied monitoring tasks.
The scientific seminar was held in the format of a lively discussion, which showed a high level of interest of the participants in the report presented. Numerous questions were raised during the discussion regarding the practical application of the proposed methods and the prospects for their integration into modern aviation systems. Participants noted the innovative approach to monitoring helicopter gas turbine engines and the high efficiency of the solutions presented. Following the seminar, the chairman, Professor Vasyl Lytvyn, Doctor of Technical Sciences, emphasised the scientific significance of the research and positively assessed its prospects in the field of aircraft diagnostics.
The seminar resulted in a positive conclusion of the scientific seminar of the Department of Information Systems and Networks of Lviv Polytechnic National University, and it is planned to extend the cooperation agreement between the Department of Information Systems and Networks of Lviv Polytechnic National University and Kremenchuk Flight College of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs in scientific activities.
