On 10.12.2024, from 11:10 to 12:30, a binary lesson on the discipline ‘Design and operation of the Mi-8MTB helicopter’ was held in room 37 of the academic building for higher education students of the study group Pdsr-21-1b of the educational and professional programme ‘Aeronautics’ of the first (bachelor's) level of higher education, field of knowledge 27 ‘Transport’, specialty 272 ‘Air Transport’.

Teacher Oleksandr Samokhlib presented the topic of the binary lesson ‘Features of the Transmission Design of Modern Helicopters’.

The content of the lesson included information about the specifics of the work of the invited specialist. Using a multimedia whiteboard, an extremely relevant presentation material on the topic was presented, followed by an active discussion of the following issues: ‘Design features of the transmission with the Kawasaki main gearbox’, “The system that warns of critical deformations of the propeller shaft of the H145/BK117-D3”, “The system for measuring the torque transmitted from the engines to the main gearbox”.

At the end of the lesson, the invited expert spoke about the peculiarities of helicopter aerodynamics and answered all the questions of the students.
